Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

A leading charity that works across Wiltshire and Swindon to create a sustainable future for wildlife and people.
Founded in 1962, we have two strategic aims:
1) restoring, recreating and protecting natural habitats for wildlife and people;
2) inspiring and supporting people to live more sustainably.

Our 40 nature reserves are open to the general public, free of charge. The majority are designated for their conservation value, and many are recognised for their historical and archaeological importance.

We manage some of the best meadows in Europe and are undertaking the largest meadow restoration project in the UK. Our Water Team ensures that rivers, lakes, ponds and wetlands are managed for wildlife and tackle the spread of non-native plants.

Our programmes are based around the natural environment and range from conservation to health and wellbeing, education, waste reduction and sustainable living.

The Trust is supported by a growing community of more than 12,000 members and almost 3,000 volunteers, and employs over 150 people.
