We're a Manchester based charity founded in 2004, to offer safe, stable accommodation and person centred, trauma informed support for people who have become homeless after claiming asylum or being granted refugee status.

In 2023-24 we worked with over 230 people from 40 different countries. We provide shared housing and 1:1 support so that people can thrive, flourish and experience life in all its fullness, here in our local communities.

Alongside practical work, we speak up with and for people seeking sanctuary, and we advocate for a compassionate and fair asylum system. In 2024 we co-produced A Slow Violence, a report highlighting the reasons why so many people who are seeking safety experience destitution after claiming asylum in the UK.

In 2024, hostility towards people seeking safety has felt more intense than ever, but so has the power of compassion. In the UK, fear and misinformation have trapped people in a hostile system, stripping them of hope. Yet, small acts of love—counter-protests chanting “refugees are welcome,” neighbours rebuilding mosques, strangers embracing others—remind us that love is stronger than hate.

This Christmas, let love speak louder than hostility.

By supporting Boaz, you’ll provide safe housing and holistic care for people like Rahel, who has reclaimed her future through your help. Many still face destitution and despair under cruel policies. Your gift won’t just provide shelter—it will restore hope, dignity, and love to those who need it most.
