HHA empowers local communities to provide fair and equal access to life-saving health and disability care for the world’s most vulnerable.

In Haiti, we co-founded and continue to support a local hospital, which has over 300 members of staff and treats over 35,000 patients every year. This includes a rehabilitation centre and national referral centre for spinal cord injury, a respite centre for children with disabilities, leading neonatal, maternity and paediatric departments, a wheelchair distribution centre, a community outreach programme, and an emergency department.

In Uganda and South Sudan, we run a nationally recognised rehabilitation centre in BidiBidi - one of the largest refugee settlements in the world - from which we provide rehab, mobility equipment, community outreach and mobile clinics. We also provide theraputic food, to reduce child malnutrition, carry out agriculture programmes to reduce food insecurity, provide maternal health care, and support refugee education.
