Bridge of Love Trust

BRIDGE OF LOVE is a nonprofit organisation and a registered UK charity. It is the communitybased Christian outreach of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship (ECF). Rev. G. I. Ebenezer is our Chairman. Reaching out to the oppressed in their struggles with our Kings love, and building a bridge from the Church to the afflicted, is our mission. Bridge of Love focuses on community development in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka and in the tribal regions of Tamil Nadu, South India. For the past twentyfour years, Bridge of Love has supported the broken and abandoned, the poor and vulnerable, widows, orphans, and the underprivileged. Educational initiatives and incomegeneration programmes are a vital part of our longterm development work.

Educational initiatives and incomegeneration programmes are a vital part of our longterm development work. Our humanitarian efforts have included about 30,000 in Tsunami Relief and over 57,500 in War Relief initiatives.

Most recently, we have provided flood relief to 400 impoverished Tamil familiespredominantly widowsin some of the worstaffected areas, including Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Ampara, Mullaitivu, Nuwara Eliya, Hatton, and Polonnaruwa, following the devastating floods caused by Cyclone Ditwah. We are now preparing to extend further relief to additional affected communities.
