Helping children and young people grow in hope, life, and faith

 

Our vision is to see every school in Colchester supported in the spiritual development and pastoral care of students through a regular, consistent, intentional Christian presence - we call it chaplaincy. 


Our strategy is to partner with churches. CYO is a catalyst that empowers, equips and enables churches to deliver chaplaincy in their local school and to create natural pathways for children and young people to explore the Christian faith at church too. 

This academic year we'd love to train more churches in Colchester and support them as they begin to deliver chaplaincy in their local primary and/or secondary school. CYO are keen to partner with churches for the long-haul, so alongside training and resources is on-going support from CYO team members to develop, enhance and create new opportunities to engage with children and young people in and out of school.
