Habitat for Humanity works across the world to support individuals, families and local communities in solving poverty through housing. Our vision is of a world where everyone has a safe, decent and appropriate place to live. We aim to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness for good and to champion decent housing as a human right. We do this by mobilising and encouraging local community groups; stimulating the economy; creating access to education and sanitation; providing training and materials; responding to disasters; and raising the profile of poverty housing and homelessness to make it a matter of conscience and action so that it becomes unacceptable in every nation on earth.
