Funds are sent out every month by SLM to Sierra Leone to help with the costs of paying teachers, building and maintaining schools, paying ministers, building and maintaining churches, running an orphanage, financing university education for children from the orphanage, and contributing to other needs as funds permit.
By way of practical support, for the last few years a 40' container has been shipped out from the UK to Sierra Leone, containing all sorts of donated items (from hand-tools to clothing to school reading books to glasses to blankets to very high-value medical equipment), as well as several hundred shoe-bags, filled with clothes and toys and toiletries for children at the schools. These are always received with great joy!
