Spurgeons

Spurgeons is a leading children and families charity, inspired by Christian faith and the vision of our founder, Charles Haddon Spurgeon. We are dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families across the UK.

Our mission is to ensure every family has the support they need to flourish. We are here to support families, no matter what challenges they face. By offering parenting advice, early years help, counselling, support for young carers, support in domestic abuse, and prisoner family support. We know that the need is great, and more and more families are struggling to cope, that is why we are here for families online and out in the community.

Our Work

We create family hubs in communities where they are needed most. These hubs provide a range of services, including mental health support, early years and family support, and assistance for children with special educational needs.

Our Impact in 2024/5

• 27,500 families, children, young people, and adults supported.
• 21,514 people accessed our online material.
• 87% of people who received support from Spurgeons say they would recommend us to their friends and family.
• 90% of families made progress across their lives when working with us.
