Children on the Move

Story

Orphaned at 7 years old and losing her grandmother at 15, Lia paid traffickers to leave China for Europe. Running away from an Austrian refugee camp to a Chinese boarding house, she ended up in forced prostitution. Christian woman visiting the brothel gained her confidence and helped her to leave. The local church, working with an NGO, helped her find a safe place to live and provided for physical needs. She found healing in the church community.
