MEET 2026 - The Gambia

Story

This Autumn, twelve Irish Methodists will be visiting our church family in The Gambia. We will have the chance to witness how God's church is growing in a country where 95% of people are Muslims, and see how clinics, schools and agricultural projects all contribute to ministry of the Methodist Church. We will also have the chance to share in worship, Bible study, and outreach with our Gambian brothers and sisters.

By giving to this fundraiser, you are supporting a unique opportunity for us to learn from and be inspired by God's work in another place. We aren't going to build a school or a church: instead, we will be building relationships with our Gambian church family.

Your giving will support the cost of our travel and accommodation, and will make sure that we aren't a financial burden on our hosts. After these costs have been covered, any extra funds will be given as a gift to the Methodist Church The Gambia to support their ministry.
