Our food stocks are running low. During the summer our food donations are traditionally less, but demand remains high. We dont expect that to be any different this summer with household bills continuing to rise and families experiencing holiday hunger as free school meals arent available for the two month break. We want to use our supporters buying power to purchase stock in bulk from a wholesaler at reduced prices. This will allow us to keep the shelves in our food shop full over the summer for those who need our help. £13,000 could fill a lorry load of supplies for our warehouse.
