New Furniture for St. Giles' Cripplegate
Closing date: 03 November 2021
Story
The pews at St. Giles' were inherited from St. Luke's, Old Street when it was declared unsafe. They were cut to fit the narrower nave at St. Giles' and the ends covered up in wood that does not match the original oak. Over the past sixty years they have become dilapidated and unstable. For big services and events they are supplemented with a variety of occasional chairs which match neither the pews nor one another.
This miscellaneous furniture is to be replaced by matching oak benches and chairs. Please give generously to help us raise the remaining £50,000 needed.
