DRC volcanic eruption
Help us get food and supplies to people who have lost homes and possessions
Closing date: 26 May 2022
Story
DR Congo has been hit by a huge volcanic eruption. On Saturday 22nd May, Mount Nyiragongo erupted, sending a lava flow through a northern district of Goma, which burned and flattened everything in its path.
Our local partners, LVLE, along with our good friends at EPAM, are doing everything they can to support children and families who have lost homes and possessions in the eruption. Street-living children and those with physical and mental impairments are especially vulnerable.
Please give generously so that LVLE and EPAM can get food and emergency supplies to the people who need them most. Any funds raised over and above our £2,000 target will go towards the wider work of LVLE and EPAM.
