Story
Establish a Self-Sufficient Chicken Project
The target is to cover the costs of kick starting a self sufficient chicken project within the ECRAD farm which will be able to scale up over time to generate a reasonable income and provide some food.
Currently a small number of chicks are managed for sale locally. The initial project will aim to scale up to manage 1000 chicks and enable the travel to/from local markets as well as providing a permanent chicken house.
The costs for this include :
1000 chicks @ £1.80 each
1 van @ £1,600
1 chicken house constructed @ £1,400
+ cost of fuel/driver etc
Every £1 donated is invaluable to establishing this project as part of the need to ensure that ECRAD can sustain itself into the future.
