Community Defibrillator

Story
We are fundraising for a life saving defibrillator (AED) for our community. The unit will be fixed to an outside wall at Christ Church, Green Lane, Stamford and will be available 24/7 to the public. There will be coded access with the emergency services. Both our local schools have an AED but these are inside the buildings so unavailable out of hours.
The cost would be just short of £1600 for the equipment and installation. As a church we are able to maintain the unit once up and running but do not have the resources to fund the initial purchase.
In the UK fewer than 1 in 10 people survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest. With your help we can increase survival rates by 68% if CPR and defibrillation are applied within 3-5 minutes of collapse. Any donation big or small will help us to achieve this goal and become a heart safe community.
