Watsan Uganda UK Support - Kazuru
Closing date: 31 December 2024
Story
In a hilly area of south west Uganda, near the border with DRC, is an area called Kazuru. There is plenty of water, but not close to where people live, farm the land, go to school or worship. At the moment, they either make a long walk to collect water from the springs in the hills, or collect it from the streams lower down, but these can be polluted, leading to poor health.
Please help us to raise the funds to collect and pipe the spring water to public tapstands in the community.
The photos show our team measuring the flow from a spring, ready for designing the system they will install, and visiting a spring high up in the hills.
Donating with Stewardship is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thank you!
