Over the next four weeks a team of volunteers will be collectively walking the distance from Stansted Airport to L'Eau Vive Provence. We've divided the distance between us according to what would challenge us individually, and have commited to walking/running/climbing the stairs/cycling to achieve the overall goal of 1,160km.
We're putting ourselves through this because we're really keen to raise money for L'Eau Vive Provence, a Christian retreat centre in the south of France. Like many non-profit organisations, they have been hit hard financially by the coronavirus situation. They have had to cancel a large number of bookings which means losing a huge portion of their annual income.
Each member of the team has volunteered at L'Eau Vive Provence, and we've seen first hand the transformational difference that a week's stay can make to people's lives. We want to help make sure that can continue into the future.
