Samuel's Hope
Raising funds for 1,000 Christian devotional books, to give to Y3 students across Monmouthshire, in memory of Samuel Barker. [Funds go to our church, who pay for the books]

Story
In 2020 our son Samuel died, aged 7. We wanted to support his school friends with their grief, so we raised money to buy a book to give to each of his classmates (in Year 3) near the time of his birthday.
Samuel was friendly, full of energy, loved nature and thinking about the God who made it. He wanted his friends to know about Jesus, so sharing the book ‘Indescribable,’ by L. Giglio is a way of carrying on his ‘work’ in this area.
We are delighted that 30 schools in Monmouthshire would like to receive copies of the book for their Y3 learners this Autumn.
Samuel was excited to go to heaven one day and looked forward to meeting Jesus. It is our prayer that through giving out these books we could share Samuel’s Hope with other children.
