GiveStory
Welcome to One YMCA's Peartree Hostel fundraising page.
Since 1963 One YMCA has provided 124 safe and secure bed spaces for Welwyn Garden City’s Homeless. However, after decades of use, it was no longer meeting people’s needs and the costs of refurbishment far exceed the costs of demolishing it and replacing it with a brand-new facility.
It will comprise 95 self-contained studios, 2 accessible DDA compliant studios and a 3-unit cluster flat (for emergency admissions). These will be enhanced with aspirational shared, communal spaces that will include aspriational, shared communal spaces with vocational training and support/engagement zones.
Should this fundraiser exceed its target, excess income will be used to fund our work.
