Livelihood Diversification Nepal
Help combat climate change
Closing date: 25 February 2028
Story
In far northwest Nepal, many of the poorest families and vulnerable women face immense challenges. With agriculture as their primary source of income, these communities are increasingly affected by environmental changes. Our project aims to improve living conditions by providing training, support, and sustainable initiatives. After a successful year, we need financial support to continue for two more years, after which the project will be self-sustaining and run by the families themselves. This year, we’ve helped establish kitchen gardens, introduce polytunnels, plant over 1,000 trees, provided goats to vulnerable families and created new saving schemes. The project is a partnership between Christians Abroad and the International Nepal Fellowship (INF). INF provides training, materials, business skills, while families contribute labour and create action plans. Donations will go to Nepal via Christians Abroad. UK taxpayers can reclaim Gift Aid to add 25p for every £1 donated. Thank you!
