In support of our Companion Diocese of Mpwapwa, Tanzania
Closing date: 15 May 2024
Story
Mpwapwa Diocese in Tanzania, and Rochester have been walking together as Companion Dioceses since 2005. It is a real blessing to all involved, both here and in Mpwapwa.
There are many practical challenges that Mpwapwa Diocese and the communities face today. Donations can be given through this page for any need in Mpwapwa – let us know in the “Message of Support” box on the “Give” page where you want it to go.
Two projects for 2023 are:
1 The Mussa Mhaha Memorial Project at Queen Esther’s Diocesan Girls Boarding School: to enable the enrolment of boys from January 2024, a science lab needs to be completed (£15,000), with some infrastructure work. Donations towards this Project will help - our goal is to raise £5,000.
2 Community water projects: This fund will help communities adopt new practices: water harvesting and storage, drip irrigation and use of solar pumps, to cope with climate change. We aim to raise £5,000.
Please donate to help those in Mpwapwa. Thank you.
