Mike and Julia's 21 mile walk for Birmingham City Mission
Closing date: 20 June 2026
Story
Welcome to our fundraising page. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.
We both volunteer at the Birmingham City Mission (BCM) Resource Centre, which distributes essentials - food, toiletries, clothing, furniture and white goods - to people struggling to make ends meet. Clients may be living in a hostel or moving into new accommodation, a parent struggling to feed a family, or homeless and needing a change of clothes or food.
BCM is a Christian charity and exists to share God's love across Britain's second city. BCM runs projects bringing practical help and hope to the young and old, the homeless and people struggling to make ends meet. The 60 Bridges Walk is an event marking the 60th anniversary of the Mission, with the aim of raising funds for its work across the city. The 21 miles begin at Hanbury Wharf, Droitwich, at 8am, and end at Gas Street Basin in Birmingham city centre.
