Story

I’m running the Great Manchester Run on 22nd May and supporting Embassy with their fundraising for Homeless Men and Women.

Embassy is a Manchester based charity which ends people’s homelessness on day 1 and cuts out the need for a shelter. They’re building 40 homes and a training centre in heart of the community which will allow them to take 40 people off the street at any one time, be their landlord, engage them in budgeting, shopping and cooking training and get them ready for work while they practice running a home. They aren’t a shelter or a rehab. This is a staging post for independent living.

Wates are supporting Embassy with a project for homeless women in Salford.
