Christ Church Gateway Youth and Community Centre

Story

Christ Church Woking has been at the heart of the town centre for over 140 years. We now need to build a new dedicated Youth and Community Centre, as our church-based youthwork has outgrown its space. In addition, Woking has been without dedicated youth space for some years, and this new centre will provide a hub for community groups and open-access youth work. The centre will be used for community activities during the day, supporting vulnerable and isolated adults, parents and those on low incomes. After school and in the evenings, it will focus on youth work, youth well-being and mentoring. The total cost of the youth centre will be c£1.35m and we have raised £900k in grants. We are seeking to raise the further £450k in donations.
