Food needs during LOCKDOWN
Many of the women and Children we are working with in Kampala are struggling for food, could you help us at this time?
Closing date: 12 May 2022
Story
As many of you will know we have all been in lockdown in Uganda for 6 weeks and counting! The women & children we work with in the community initially were supported by the Government with food supplies. However, since lockdown was extended and businesses are still closed the women started to use the little savings they had. Unfortunately, most of their savings have now gone and many are struggling to eat even one meal a day.
We would LOVE to be able to support the women and children we work with by supporting them with enough food for a the month.
We plan on giving each household 25kg of maize flour (to make porridge & posho) and 10kg of beans.
We would love to be able to support all 400 families we work with! This would be for 400 women and around 1,200 children!
All of the money raised from this fundraiser will go straight to buying food for these families. Food for one family is £25 so if you wanted to sponsor a family that would be amazing too!
