Discovery Institute (US Tax ID 91-1521697) started Evolution News in 2004 to counter all the fake news in the debate over Darwin and intelligent design. Since then, the audience for the English version has grown to attract more than 2.5 million views a year. In 2025, the news site was rebranded Science & Culture Today to better reflect the breadth of topics covered.

Science and Culture Today provides daily reporting and analysis about evolution, intelligent design, neuroscience, bioethics, and the impact of science on culture. Each year, we publish over 700 new articles, and more than 1.2 million unique visitors read them free of charge. But quality content like this isn't free.
