In Memory of Aileen Fisher
Closing date: 03 April 2025
Story
Aileen Fisher was a supporter of the Whitechapel Mission for many years. She used to organise collections of clothing throughout the year as well as "Socks and Chocs" at Christmastime. Encouraging friends and members of the community around Doddinghurst to contribute much-needed clothing as well as treats for the homeless.
The Whitechapel Mission has been helping people who are rough sleeping since 1876, providing such basic essentials as clothing and a shower. The Mission cooks around 350 breakfasts a day, every day of the year, for people living on the streets.
Aileen would appear on the Mission's doorstep armed with a car packed tight with the gifts which, were warmly received, just as any donation you may wish to make in her memory will be.
