The Philanthropy Service Team is delighted and humbled to have been shortlisted for the prestigious STEP Private Client Award for Philanthropy Team of the Year – competing with the Queen’s solicitors, Farrer & Co, international bank J.P. Morgan, and leading lawyers Herbert Smith Freehills and Withersworldwide. A special thank you goes to our clients and partners who make all of this possible.

This is the 15th year of the awards, which are open globally both to STEP members and to non-members, recognising and celebrating excellence among private client solicitors, lawyers, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors.  This year saw a record number of entries for the Awards, with 319 submissions received from 27 countries.

Nicola Johnson, our Chief Philanthropy Officer, said: “To be short-listed in our first year is a huge commendation of the hard work and agility of our team in adapting to our clients’ individual needs.

The team of 10 staff work alongside 460 donors, each giving between £25,000 to over £25million in the last year to charitable causes in the UK and overseas.  Our deep level of relationships with our clients, understanding of their charitable passions, professional expertise and strong networks across the Christian charitable sector, place Stewardship in a unique position.

Stewardship’s philanthropy team has a range of expertise including backgrounds in grant-making, finance, investments and law, ensuring we have the expertise to serve each client effectively on their own philanthropic journey.  Our team aims to help donors experience the joy of impactful giving, without the burden of administration and compliance.”

STEP’s first Virtual Awards Ceremony is due to take place on December 9 - we’ll keep you updated!
