We would like to pass on a HUGE thank you to everyone who gave in our MISSION: Christmas Appeal.

Your generosity has meant that we have been able to raise an incredible total of £440,800! This means we were able to give £200 additional support to over 2000 of our full-time Christian Workers.

The appeal ended in the first week of December so that we could process the donations in time that each of or our Christian Workers, wherever they were in the world, received their gift before Christmas.

We have simply been overwhelmed by the response from our Christian workers. From New Zealand to Southern Ireland, Sweden to South Africa, thank yous and Christmas greetings have poured into our inbox.

We wanted to share some with you:

We had committed to make a special Christmas dinner for the community we serve in Cape Town. We've had nearly 50 people sign up to join us for this family celebration on Christmas Day. Many of these people have no family, no home, and were not expecting a particularly merry Christmas. Your gift will help us feed our community, and express God's love in a very practical way.

Thank you so much, this has really come as an answer to prayer. Just last night driving back from a one to one I was almost shouting at God that money was so hard, and I was trying to keep the costs down this month but things were just getting in the way (Like a parking ticket that very day!?) And after the second Christmas party for another kids club coming up this week, money was going to be very tight. So seeing this email this morning I was absolutely blown away.

There aren’t words to express my thanks at the generous gift I’ve received this Christmas. As a self employed women’s worker, a single mum of two precious girls and with our family far away, Christmas is always tight! But I’m blown away by God’s goodness and abundant blessing in and through Stewardship givers. I honestly don’t know what else to say... or type through the tears of joy! Thank you all so, so much!

You have shown me that God knows and answers me, and really enjoys providing for my needs, as I was reading in my devotional. For me this gift means I can afford to go to my church’s Christmas party and start the New Year with financial security, rather than bordering on the edge of an overdraft! I think it’s easy to imagine that this money would have been better served somewhere else, but actually through this unexpected gift, God is teaching me that He loves it when we depend on Him.

Thank you so much for you very kind and generous giving which is so timely. I was mugged about a couple of weeks ago and had my mobile stolen. Living In India this suddenly meant I couldn’t do my job or stay connected to my friends and family. Your gift allowed me to buy a new phone and for this to not be a burden on my regular budget, and remind me of God’s faithfulness and goodness to us. I serve with Youth with a Mission in Maharashtra, India with training and discipling of emerging leaders, esp. in the areas of Christian Counselling.

As winter was approaching with its rainy and icy weather, it became clear that some of the jobs we had been postponing on the car really had to be done to keep us safe on the roads this winter, but we had no means to. When we got the email from Stewardship, it was such a relief and we straight away thanked God for His amazing provision. Now we can buy the new tyres to keep us and the team safe this winter and we drive around the country bringing the great news of the birth of the Saviour to children far and near.

We have been touched by so many of the stories, we can’t relay them all but we hope that you get a flavour of some of the messages we have received.
