At the end of October we were shocked to receive news from our friends at A Rocha of the tragic deaths of their international CEO Chris Naylor, his wife Susanna, and A Rocha co-founder Miranda Harris while travelling in South Africa.

Stewardship share with A Rocha International and their many, many friends around the world, the deep sadness and loss of losing such fine leaders and pioneers in the Christian conservation world. We continue to pray peace and healing for Peter as he recovers from his injuries.

The two couples have been great friends of Stewardship for many years, writing regularly for us in Share Magazine, 40acts and our blog on matters of conservation and good stewardship of the environment. Jo Swinney, the Harris’s eldest daughter has also worked with us closely on our church resources for the last couple of years.

Make a gift to support A Rocha from your Stewardship Account:

A Rocha International are receiving donations in memory of Chris, Susanna and Miranda, but we know there are many in the Stewardship community who would like to make gifts from their giving accounts too.

With that in mind, we have agreed with A Rocha to open a page on give.net, as a convenient way for those of you wishing to give from your Stewardship accounts. If you are an online user you can click the link below and give directly from your account:

The trustees of Stewardship have opened the fund with a gift of £5,000, and have agreed to match up to a further £5,000 of online gifts.

If you would prefer to arrange a gift by phone or email, you can contact our Giving Services team as usual on 020 8502 8560 or [email protected]

(Please be aware of any other scam site taking advantage of this tragedy to solicit donations)
