The 40acts community discover entreprenurial generosity

1 min

On 13th July, some of the 40acts community gathered in a rustic coffee shop in the heart of London for our first 40acts Live event. We heard stories of entrepreneurial generosity from Ed Vickers, the founder of Jollies alongside Menekse Stewart, the pioneer of Cheerfully Given.

It was great to see so many people attend in and around London and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to gather, network and be inspired by the stories shared.

Ed told us all about how Jollies had started less as a business, but more as a passion for meeting a need that he so often bumped into. It came from a place of ‘What can I do’ for the homeless rather than ignoring the homeless community.

Menekse spoke of the importance of community in both generosity (reminding us that Cheerfully Given’s crowd funding campaign reached its target on the last day), and the importance of community in business, to help through the highs and low

It was a really awesome night, with so many questions answered, many people inspired and fired up for generosity. Keep your eyes peeled for the highlights reel and the announcement of our next 40acts Live!
