How your target is calculated
Any funds you receive from Stewardship as an individual can only be used towards your personal living costs or your personal ministry expenses. Your target is the maximum amount of chartiable funds you can receive from Stewardship per year, including reclaimed Gift Aid, and is the amount we believe you should be raising for your living costs and personal ministry expenses. Your target is based on the following information you supplied on your application form, including:
If you didn’t complete the Personal Details (income) section on your application form, your target will be fixed at £1,500. Please contact us at [email protected] for the relevant form if you would like to update us.
The benefit of having a target
Having a target based on your own circumstances gives you focus and releases you from the awkwardness of wondering how much to raise. It reassures you and your supporters that you’re not plucking numbers out of the air.
Get closer to your target!
We are here to help you get closer to your target! Here are some simple actions to take:
If your circumstances change
Part of our responsibility as a UK charity is to make sure the amount of grant funding (payments to you) is in line with UK charity law and our own charitable purposes. As your target is the maximum amount of charitable funds you are permitted to receive from us per year, you must let us know if any of the above information changes significantly so we can update your target. Please contact us at [email protected] for the relevant form to inform us of any changes.
If you delay telling us of a significant change, you may be required to repay funds received from Stewardship if you were no longer eligible to receive them.
