Writing your personalised thank you
When writing your message, the most important advice we can give you is to be authentically you! Your supporter has made the decision to support you because they believe in you and your ministry.
Use your own words and write conversationally to encourage relationship. Make sure that your message feels personal, heartfelt and Kingdom-focused so that donors can feel valued and connected to your work.
- Be specific (where possible) – Describe how gifts might be used and the impact they can make. Provide an update on your activity.
- Be warm – Let your gratitude shine through your tone and language! Consider including unique elements like a Bible verse or reflection.

Advice for video
If possible, keep your thank you message regularly updated so that regular one-off supporters receive a new update every time they give.
