Can supporters outside the UK give?
One-off gifts
Supporters from outside of the UK can easily make one-off gifts by clicking 'Give' on your Stewardship partner profile. They can either create a Stewardship Giving Account, or opt to give as a guest without an account. We accept many global payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and most credit or debit cards (not including Amex).
Regular gifts
Supporters from outside of the UK can easily make regular gifts if they have a British bank account, by creating a Stewardship Giving Account and setting up a Direct Debit with us.
For supporters outside of the UK without a British bank account, they can still set up a regular gift from a Stewardship Giving Account, but this regular gift will need to be funded by a one-off top-up of their Stewardship account balance. To do this, supporters would need to follow these steps:
- Set up a Stewardship Giving Account
- Go into the 'Top-ups' section, and make a 'One-off top-up' into their balance
- Once the balance has been topped up, go into the 'Regular giving' section and click 'Add new gift'
- From there, the supporter can find your church or charity, and click 'Give' - making sure to use 'Stewardship balance' as the payment method
- If there are not enough funds in a supporter’s account for the regular gift, they will receive a notification a week before the due date from us, inviting them to top-up their account.
Please note that supporters must be UK taxpayers in order to Gift Aid their giving.
