Why do I have a ‘payment in’ and a ‘gift out’ in my account activity?

A ‘payment in’ refers to the funds gifted from your personal bank account into your Stewardship Donor Advised Fund account. When a ‘payment in’ is received, our fee is deducted and Gift Aid, if applicable, is added. You can make a ‘payment in’ by Direct Debit, card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or by cheque.

A ‘gift out’ refers to the transfer of funds from your Stewardship Donor Advised Fund account to the Stewardship account of your chosen partner.

When you create a regular or one off gift to a partner that isn’t funded from your balance, we enable you to set up the ‘payment in’ and the ‘gift out’ in one simple process. You choose how to fund your gift and we look after the rest.
