First impressions last...
The incredible work that you do every day really matters. Your Stewardship Partner Account is a tool to help you to invite generosity and increase your support base, so that you feel equipped and encouraged to grow your vision and further your missional impact.
Personalisation will enable your partner profile to look and feel representative of your mission and will help supporters to feel confident that they’re in the right place. Add a profile picture, personalise your partner URL, add website details and links to social media if appropriate. Tell your story with images, text and even video content. Use share links and QR codes to make it easier for people to release generosity.
Profile enrichment will enable you to clearly communicate the impact of people’s generosity and activate people’s giving. Links to socials from the page will enable supporters to access up to date info about your activity and the “share” function means it will be easy to get the link to give to your supporters. You will be able to clearly communicate the impact of people’s generosity and supporters will have sufficient information to decide that you’re great to give to!
Greater release of generosity! Stewardship currently serves 2400 Individual Partners, 6000 Charity and 4200 Church partners with partner profiles on our website. All partners can add pictures, stories and webpage info to their pages to make them more attention grabbing, but many do not. In 2022 63,000 individual givers used our giving platform to make a charitable gift. 31,000 individual givers have accounts with gifts in exceeding £4.2m every month. Many givers keep money in their account as a balance ready for the generosity to be released. This equates to many millions of pounds which we would like to see granted in support of Kingdom growth.
Our donors feel more confident knowing that you’re our partner, and therefore ‘safe’ to give to. By sharing more information, supporters will feel that their generosity enables them to be a part of your mission. This will build loyalty and a longevity of support as regular givers.

Key Info
Profile URL:
For Individual Partners:
Your original URL is 'www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/' followed by your account number, eg www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/20000000.
You may prefer something easier to remember, eg www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/sarahjones or www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/sarahinuganda.
Any URL you choose needs to be identifiable as being for you and not for an organisation or sound like it is for an organisation. If you have any doubts, you can contact us on 020 8418 8195 or email us at [email protected].
You can add up to 250 characters, although we recommend that you keep it short! Symbols aren’t advised as they can cause issues in search. The original URL you were assigned (a series of 8 numbers) will continue to work.
To create a custom URL, select ‘Create a custom URL’.
You can add up to 250 characters, although we recommend that you keep it short! Symbols aren’t advised as they can cause issues in search. The original URL you were assigned (a series of 8 numbers) will continue to work.
For Churches and Charities:
Default URL: This is the original URL you were assigned (a series of 8 numbers) when you opened your Partner Account with Stewardship. This is your unique link to share with supporters.
Custom URL: You also have the option to create a custom URL by adding your partner name as a suffix to your default URL.
To create a custom URL, select ‘Create a custom URL’.
Share your profile URL with potential supporters:
You can:
- copy the link
- download your own QR code
Paste these into emails, WhatsApp messages, mission/ministry newsletters; print onto T-shirts, business cards, key fobs or Bible bookmarks and hand to everyone and anyone who is interested in the incredible work that you’re achieving. Bless others by inviting them to be a part of your partner team.
The most recently added custom URL will be the one we use across Stewardship. The QR code will always generate from the original URL you were assigned.
Visibility:
We use and display your information to potential supporters searching on any of our giving platforms for partners that they may wish to support. When your page is visible, your profile page is live and searchable on our platforms. When it is hidden, supporters will not be able to give to you online and you will not be visible on Stewardship’s search results. Supporters will see an error message on your profile instead. You will also not be able to edit parts of your account and profile.
For Individual Partners:
If you prefer for your real name to not be visible online, you can either contact us to change your account name to an alias name which will show on your profile page rather than your real name, or you can disable your giving link (see below).
If you use an alias name, your real name will not appear in any searches on our online platforms.
If you prefer to not have a live profile page, you can disable it at any time in your online account.
Your profile page will now show an error message and it will not be possible to search for or find your account on any of our online platforms. As supporters won't be able to give online, they can only set up support for you offline using your Support Form.
For Church and Charity partners:
If you’d prefer that your profile is not visible online, please ensure that you tick the ‘Hide page’ box. Please be aware that if you tick this box disabled, your link will display an error message and your profile page is not searchable on our platforms.
Profile picture/Logo:
For Individual Partners:
For Churches and Charities:
Your photo helps people to find your profile page and feel confident that they are supporting the correct partner. Your photo will always be visible on your partner profile as well as on every screen throughout the giving process when a giver sets up a one-off or regular gift for your support.
To upload or change your profile image, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Key info’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Profile picture’ and select ‘Upload’.
Please ensure that you use a current, high quality (minimum size: 150px x 150px, 1:1 ratio) image in either PNG, JPG or GIF file type. Maximum file size is 3MB. Logos will be displayed in the circular boundary box. We recommend that you use the same logo as you would use on your social media profiles. This may mean just using the icon or mark of your logo instead of a full logo that includes your organisation’s name (which will always feature next to your logo). Using a ‘shorthand’ version of your logo will most likely mean it has more of a presence within the circle and legibility of your logo is still maintained, particular in instances where it is displayed at smaller sizes, such as our app.
If you upload an image that isn’t square, the image will not be cropped but will proportionally fit the circle, leaving blank spaces on the sides if it’s a portrait logo, or at the top and bottom if it’s landscape.
Where no logo image is provided, we use our two-heart spot icon as a default holding image.
Tagline:
*This feature is only available for Church and Charity partners
Your tagline is your opportunity to capture the attention (and heart!) of a potential supporter landing on your profile page. This should be a powerful 3-7 word statement that clearly and compellingly describes the purpose of what your church or charity gets up to– your ‘Why’.
Give them a reason to support you that they can’t refuse. Some great examples include: “Leave no one behind,” by Doctors without Borders or “Together we fight inequality to end injustice,” by Oxfam.
This will appear under your organisation’s name on your partner profile page.
To upload or change your tagline, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Key info’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Tagline’ and type your statement in the text box.
Cause categories:
From Environment and Creation Care to Mental Health and Wellbeing, we connect our givers with your cause to maximise support and invite generosity to resource your work.
You can choose up to three categories under which your work will feature. If categories have been automatically assigned, these can be edited manually on this page. Cause categories are a ranking factor in Stewardship’s search so do make sure you have assigned at least one.
Use the Cause descriptors in the appendix to identify up to three which best describe your objectives.
To select your Cause categories, sign into your Partner Account, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Key info’ tab. Scroll down to Cause categories’ and select the relevant drop down options.
Your website and social networks:
For Individual Partners:
For Churches and Charities:
Invite potential supporters to find out more about you and what you do! Not only do you want to inspire your support team to give financially to equip and enable your work, you also want to invite them to feel a part of the incredible impact that you’re achieving – through their prayers, and by allowing them to engage with and follow the news and stories that you’re sharing online.
By providing your website URL, supporters can easily link to further information about you. Please only add your personal website and social media accounts, you cannot add those of your sending organisation.
If you leave these sections blank, they will not show on your profile.
Type the relevant URLs into each text box. Ensure you include the start bit: https://
Type the relevant URLs into each text box, not just the username or handle. Only platforms with a URL will be shown on your profile. Ensure you include the start bit: https://
Share this page:
Use the Share buttons at the bottom of your Profile to post to social media or copy the link to your Profile page to send to someone by email or messaging services.
Cover image:
Your cover image is the first impression that your potential supporters will have of you when they land on your profile page. Make sure that it captures their attention – and their hearts!
It’s widely agreed that in most cases using real imagery and authentic photos will resonate better than stock photos or icons/animations, so where possible use a high quality, in focus image of your work in action. It’s important that you have the correct rights/permissions for all images used*. We believe in showcasing hope wherever possible, so concentrate on demonstrating how your work is providing the solution, rather than the need.
Cover images on smaller screens will be cropped by the amount shown in red on the ‘upload’ rectangle, so ensure that key parts of the image do not fall in this area.
Safe zone is 67.5% of the image (centre will show) – 3:2 ratio (landscape)
Recommended formats: PNG, JPG or GIF. Maximum file size: 3MB
Select ‘Upload’ and choose an image from your documents.
*Be careful when using images from the web or third-party sources, as you may be liable for any image used that is subject to copyright law where you don’t hold a rights licence.
Description:
This is where you give your potential supporters a compelling reason ‘why’ they should support the incredible work that you do.
Your description should make it clear:
1) what outcomes you want to achieve,
2) how you will achieve these outcomes
3) who will benefit from these outcomes
The words you use matter. It’s important that you clearly say what you are doing using clear and precise wording. Try not to be vague or ambiguous. Names of people should only be used with permission.
To change your description, insert your copy into the text box.
Depending on how you’d like to structure your page, you have the option to add more text (‘Add text’), add additional images (‘Add image’) and ‘Add video’. Once you’ve completed these, you can select the ‘up’ and ‘down’ arrows to move the rows into position or select the dustbin icon to delete.
Add text:
If there’s more that you’d like to include about your work and purpose, you can add additional lines of text. Examples of tangible impact (stories, testimonials and data) are always a helpful way to inspire supporters to want to enable you to achieve even more incredible work for the Kingdom.
To add or change text, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Page content’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Add text’ and insert your copy into the text box
Add image:
People support people. Bring your profile to life by showcasing the people contributing to, and benefiting from, your work. Use the same guidance suggested for your cover image to ensure that you’re choosing the right images for your page. ‘A picture can tell a thousand words’ – ensure that you’re capturing the essence of who you are and what you do with the images that you select and that you have the appropriate permission to use them.
Images will be displayed at the full width of the content container of your profile page, but at the original aspect ratio. Portrait images will continue to be portrait, landscape images will still be landscape.
- Format: PNG, JPG or GIF, Maximum file size 3MB
- Please ensure that you have the correct permissions to share
To change or upload an image, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Page content’ tab. Select ‘Add image’ then Upload’ and select an image from your documents.
Add video:
Video is a brilliant way to instantly connect with potential supporters. A compelling story about who you are and what you do, with a clear call to action to support, is a great way to motivate and engage.
You can access the YouTube URL or Vimeo URL for your video by clicking on ‘Share’ on the relevant platform and copying the link.
To add or change a video, select ‘Profile’ in the sidebar, then select the ‘Page content’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Add video’ and insert the URL into the text bar.
View your profile page:
Once you’ve set up your profile, make sure that you take a moment to step back and consider your page from a potential supporter’s perspective. Is it compelling? Does it hold your attention? Imagine that you’ve not yet been introduced to the work you do and ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I understand the mission of this individual?
- Can I see what need(s) they are addressing?
- Do I trust that they’re achieving their purpose?
- Do I care enough to want to support them?
If any of your answers to the above are ‘no’ or less than a resounding ‘yes’, go back and ensure that you achieve the desired outcomes before going live with your profile – it’s your first impression for many and it counts!
The legal bits:
Finally, the compliance checklist. Technically, your partner profile page is on our website and allows you to connect with our community of generous givers - your existing and potential new supporters. Stewardship is regulated by various bodies, including the Fundraising Regulator and we ask that you use the following checklist to help ensure that your profile page meets the required standards:
- Your profile must be open, honest, respectful and polite.
- You must not unfairly criticise or insult other people or organisations.
- You must not use content, (eg wording, names, images, videos) that is subject to copyright or other restrictions without obtaining the appropriate permissions.
Stewardship reserves the right to review, remove or request amendments to profiles. See our Terms of Use for full details.
