To our American friends: Happy Independence Day

July 4, 1776 marks an important day in history on both sides of the Atlantic. It would be safe to say that 244 years ago relations were strained between the British Empire and the soon to be new country of the United States of America.

Happily though, things are different today and we are thrilled to be connected to and to work with generous givers from both sides of the pond who seek to do their giving tax effectively (the history buffs among you may see the irony given the origins of the Revolutionary War…something to do with taxes!)

If you are, or you work with, an individual or family that have tax liabilities in both the US and the UK, we have a gift for you this Independence Day!

Stewardship America enables you to get tax relief in both countries. Your gifts qualify for UK Gift Aid, increasing the value of any gift by 25% and allowing you to reclaim higher/additional rate relief through your UK tax return. Your gift can also qualify for a deduction from your US taxable income at your marginal rate (where applicable).

We’re excited to help you realise and release your giving potential. Our team will take care of your administrative and accounting requirements, your account can be funded in GBP or USD and, where desired, you can give with full anonymity.

Stewardship America is a not-for-profit, so you can use your Stewardship America Donor Fund in full confidence that we’re not profiting from your generosity and that the fees we take go back into our charitable work.

If you pay tax in the US and the UK, your charitable giving exceeds the standard US deduction, and you would like to know more, please do get in touch with the team here. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
