Steve is a regular supporter of Acts 435 who has given directly to meet the needs of Jack* from Halifax. Jack is suffering from ill health and needed help to purchase carpets for his home.
After Steve donated towards Jack’s request, he got in touch as he felt moved by God to support Jack further. The local partner knew that Jack didn’t have a fridge or freezer and so posted another request, which Steve generously met.
“I consider it to be God’s generosity, not mine, as I only have something to give because God has blessed me, completely undeservedly.
“Acts 435 is unusual in that you feel that you have a real connection to the person you are helping, even though you don’t know them. I love the messages of thanks too, as it helps me to remember how a small thing can make a big difference to someone – it really is a wonderful thing.”
I often hear from donors, just like Steve, who are thankful for our unique system of giving which enables Christians to ‘freely scatter their gifts to the poor’ (2 Corinthians 9:9).
By spending time reviewing the requests on our website, our donors are then able to bless one or more individuals who have a specific need.
Because the requests on our website are posted by local church and charity partners, the needs are genuinely understood, such as people living in poverty, facing hardship or who have hit a crisis.
This enables individuals who want to share God’s generosity onward to those in poverty, knowing that their gift is going to make a direct difference to an individual or family.
Thanks to Steve’s generosity, Jack keenly felt the blessing of these practical gifts, saying:

- Browse the specific requests for individuals in need
- Checkout, completing the Gift Aid process if applicable
If you would like to give from your Stewardship Giving Account
- Visit the Acts435 Stewardship profile or search in the app
- Click the red ‘Give’ button
- Select your preferred Project fund (e.g white goods, struggling with bills or fresh start) and complete the checkout
- Your gift will be assigned by Acts435 to an individual in the category you selected
