#MyGenerosityStory: David's Story, as told by Nicola

By Alexandra Khan | 18 July 2016 | Comments (2)

David was diagnosed with terminal cancer after having been told he was in remission.

His extraordinary response in the final months of his life had a profound effect not only on his wife Nicola (who kindly shared his generosity story with us), but also everyone else that encountered him.

Watch the latest in the #MyGenerosityStory series, and be encouraged by David's example of gratitude.

David was a very special friend of mine. One of the loveliest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I felt honoured to have met him. First as my daughter's headmaster, who then employed me, and then our friendship grew as he became ill. Nicola's story is inspirational. I totally understand her reluctance to share David but from the bottom of my heart, I thank her, as so many others do. He truly was one-in-a-million.

David was a friend of mine and Nicola has summed him up perfectly. He really was the most gracious, giving and thankful man who will be forever loved and remembered by us all ❤️
