At Stewardship we’re on a mission to strengthen Christian causes and a huge part of that is supporting treasurers and trustees across the UK church. So, we decided to bring to you - wherever you are - tons of practical advice and wisdom through a handy lunchtime dial-in.
Stewardship kicked off its new, free advice service for Church Treasurers in June 2015, and so far it has been an incredible success. Over 100 people have called in for each session so far, and our in-house experts have shared their knowledge across a variety of relevant and current topics. Delegates found the dial-in so helpful that we decided to share the recording of the most recent call.
The most recent call was in January, and the agenda was as follows:
Introduction
Naomi Harrison, Technical Events Co-ordinator
The mosquito effect: highlighting those small irritating issues that can come back to bite
(Stephen Matthews, Head of Accountancy and Consultancy services)
This quarter we looked at…
• Employer Payroll Update
• Gift Aid declarations - what's changing?
• Designated and Restricted funds - a quick refresh
The meaty topic: taking a closer look at a topic that affects you
(Kevin Russell, Technical Director)
The topic for this quarter was…
• Payments to trustees - navigating the minefield
A good idea from the field
Naomi Harrison interviewed David Flowers, senior Pastor at Leeds Vineyard Church who has spent many years working as an Independent Financial Advisor. Naomi interviewed David on the topic of Pensions and Church.

This was an opportunity for us to answer some of the questions that were asked throughout the call.
