By Debbie Wright | 14 January 2016 | Comments (2)

Two exciting opportunities are coming this summer to take time out and explore what it means to live generously under God.

Stewardship has joined forces with Scargill House and Lee Abbey Christian centres to create a new five day retreat/holiday that delves into the Bible to learn more about God’s generosity.

During the five days we will together discover just how generous God is; how living generously is a Kingdom value and how generosity is a vital characteristic for followers of Jesus.  God’s generosity and his call for us can be surprising, challenging, unsettling, but also uplifting, fulfilling and overflowing in abundance. We will also get practical and find out what a generous life looks like in terms of our gifts, talents, time and treasure.

Week 1:  Monday 27th June to Friday 1st July 2016 at Scargill House in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Lead by  Phil Stone, Director of the Scargill Movement;  David Rowe, formerly warden of Lee Abbey and now Vicar at Christ Church, Winchester, and Charles Osewalt, content  creator at Stewardship and former elder at Redeemer Church in New York.

Standard All-Inclusive Adult Price: £251

A generosity retreat is a great idea. Is there a programme potential attendees could look at to have an idea of the content of the retreat? If these aren't the 1st of their kind, what have previous attendees fed back about the retreat?
