Christian Legacy Week

Christian Legacy is a unique partnership between a group of leading charities who are raising awareness of legacy giving in the Christian community.  This October, Christian Legacy Week offers you the chance to think about the difference you want to make and to help you in making that decision. So take a look at www.christianlegacy.org.uk for further information on how you can make a lasting difference and receive your free legacy guide.

Making a Will is an important decision and, according to Christian Research 2013, 80% of Christians have already made theirs. Over half of these are leaving or considering a gift to charity, but overall only 5% of people in the UK leave money to charity in their Will. Without legacy gifts from Christians, the work of many Christian charities could not continue.

Daniel Jones from Stewardship explains: “As Christians, it is important to consider what kind of legacy we are leaving behind for others. Leaving a gift in your will is an incredibly powerful way of continuing to sow into God’s kingdom on Earth. Through your will you can continue to be part of the healing, transformation and hope that many Christian organisations bring to broken people and a broken world”.
