40acts:
Do Lent generously
40acts is a generosity challenge for Lent that invites people to reflect the heart of Jesus through everyday acts of generosity.
Each day offers a simple challenge and short reflection designed to help people practise generosity in practical ways, through kindness, hospitality, encouragement, time and giving.
Over the years, thousands of people, churches, families and groups have taken part, discovering how small acts of generosity can grow into lasting habits.
40acts runs each year during Lent.

Thank you for taking part!
This year thousands of people took part in 40acts, choosing to practise generosity throughout Lent.
From small acts of kindness to sacrificial giving, 40acts has been a reminder that generosity is not just something we believe in, it’s something we practise.
Together we’ve encouraged one another, served our communities and reflected the heart of Jesus through everyday acts.
Challenge tracked.
This year, 40acts came to life through the Stewardship Giving app.
Throughout Lent the app became a personal hub for reflections and for putting generosity into action, helping people set aside funds to give with purpose as opportunities arose, track their progress and build momentum.
The challenge may be over, but the Giving app is still there to help you practise generosity. Whether you’re giving time, money or kindness, it can help you build generosity into everyday life, one act at a time.
Follow 40acts. Share the journey.
Each day this Lent, we’ll share real stories, reflections, and moments of generosity across our social channels, along with fresh content from creators you’ll love, including The Way and other voices from across the 40acts community.
See how others are living the challenge. Be inspired by faith in action. And share how the journey is shaping you.
