The work of Stewardship (previously UKET and East of England Evangelization Trust) has changed dramatically from its original sole purpose of holding Brethren church properties.
In 2010, the trustees of Stewardship made the historic decision to separate the property and trusteeship services to a new charity that would be focussed on this property-related ministry. It is called Church Growth Trust Limited and is a registered charitable company which operates under its own governance rather than that of Stewardship. Chuch Growth Trust Limited has Trust Corporation status, so that it can hold trusteeships of properties.
We are able to introduce you to property consultants with extensive experience of property management and charity law to advise and negotiate on behalf of churches and Christian charities on buying, selling and leasing property. They are also able to advise on planning issues, building projects, boundary disputes and land registration.
We can also introduce you to property consultants who are able to provide access audits to help meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (now replaced by the Equality Act 2010, condition surveys to assess works required to properties, asbestos surveys under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002/2006 and insurance valuations.
