“Our thoughts at first were ‘How is it possible?’. My wife and I had felt called to study at Theological College and yet the figures were daunting. Nearly £30,000 per year, some £90,000 over three years, for both fees, accommodation and living costs for our young family.

Now, three years on I’ve completed my three year degree at Oak Hill Theological College and am now continuing my preparation for ministry with an MA in Theological and Pastoral Studies.

How have we raised that funding? Well, the overarching answer is in the goodness of God who has provided everything we have needed during our time here.

How has He done that? By placing on the hearts of individuals and trusts the desire to support us and our vision for Christian ministry. This of course has also meant that we have needed to be careful and good stewards of this financial support, which is where our partnership with Stewardship has been so beneficial. Our support has been easy to manage, plus, those who give with Stewardship have the added benefit of knowing that they too have been good stewards of their gifts, by giving tax effectively through Gift Aid.

It is clear to us that, without our partnership with Stewardship , raising the full amount for our studies at college would have been a real struggle. In fact, through our partnership with Stewardship we have even been able to help other students here, who have been struggling to raise support for their studies.

To me it seems clear that in giving to Christian ministry, whether individuals or organisations, there are great benefits in being a partner with Stewardship so that we might use our money wisely as good stewards of the Lord Jesus.
