one-off gifts

Spontaneous and occasional gifts are handled with the same efficiency and flexibility as your regular giving.

We are able to respond quickly and distribute grants following your requests using the funds we hold in your account.  Many account holders keep a balance in their account so that we can respond to emergency needs and special requirements.

Requesting a donation is simple. A phone call, letter or email is all that is required and it can also be done online later in 2010. Subject to our normal 'appropriate use' checks, of course.

Alternatively, why not make use of a Stewardship ‘charity voucher book’. Much like a regular cheque book you can complete the voucher and give it to the recipient, who should send it to Stewardship. We then make the grant, subject to our usual checks that it is a registered recipient and an appropriate use of charitable funds.

Clare and her husband ensure that, after regular donation requests, £30 each month accumulates in their account as a small fund. This is the basis for requestion that Stewardship make further one-off donations

“In the last twelve months we made a number of donation requests...

  • Sponsored two colleagues in a charity run
  • Wrote a voucher to request a grant to a local charity
  • Requested a grant  to a friend who is serving God in India
  • Responded to a special Christmas offering at our church

It’s great having even a small fund available for such occasions".
