Volunteer roles
There are seven volunteer roles and each makes a unique contribution to the ministry of Stewardship Money in and through the local church. Your church could host an information session, "How churches can help people in debt" which includes an outline of the volunteer roles and activities.
- Stewardship Volunteer:
promote money education, encourage a biblical perspective on money, and provide help for those suffering from the pain of debt, feeling anxious about money or looking for financial freedom
- Personal Budget Coach:
help people take control of their finances by helping them develop a personal budget.
- Money Ministry Leader:
A Money Ministry is a service provided by a church or group of churches to “clients” (members of the church and local community) to help them stay in control of money
- Local Speaker:
delivers talks and/or courses on Stewardship's behalf in local churches and community groups.
- Regional Representative:
work locally as an advocate for effective money education and support for those trapped in debt on Stewardship's behalf.
- Area Coordinator :
supporting and encouraging new and existing volunteers in one of our 28 areas
- Specialist Debt Advisor:
Resource Stewardship with skills as a professional Debt Adviser. This role requires a minimum of two years previous experience in providing debt advice.
