Area Coordinator
An Area Coordinator is the local Stewardship Money contact with volunteers in their area. The aim of this role is to maintain contact with and support existing and new volunteers in their area.
Area Coordinator is normally a role taken up by someone who is an existing volunteer. We have a total of 28 areas across the country and the Area Coordinator is responsible for supporting the volunteers operating in their area. The number of volunteers in an area will typically be up to twelve.
An important part of the job description of an Area Coordinator is to make contact with and offer support to new volunteers in their area. Many teams organise occasional team meetings to share stories and encourage each other. Area Coordinators are also involved when a How can the Church help People in Debt? seminar is run in the local area.
The Area Coordinator liaises with their local volunteers to Stewardship Money and will be asked to get some feedback on volunteer activities and also on the support we provide so that we can meet volunteer needs, offer support and improve the effectiveness of the Stewardship Volunteer Network
